BOB arrives in Burnham!

Have you heard about BOB?

BOB is short for Burnham Opportunity Box and it’s BHPT’s new young people’s project with its own website www.burnhamopportunitybox.org

Working with and for young people in Burnham has always been a major part of Burnham Health Promotion Trust’s work. At the Trust’s Annual Forum in March 2014 we introduced the concept of the Burnham Opportunity Box or BOB for short. BOB is planned as a long term programme with the aim of having a significant and positive impact on the future health and well-being of young people in Burnham.

BOB’s aim is to ensure that all our young people have access to the range of knowledge, help and support that will help them to make informed choices and achieve their potential.

BHPT would be very pleased to hear from people who would be interested in helping to develop BOB including local businesses and groups that may have opportunities for the young people of Burnham. BHPT would also like to hear from young people themselves and as a first step there is a young people’s survey on the website www.burnhamopportunitybox.org which will only take a few minutes to complete.

To find out more about BOB and how you can be involved please contact: Shirley Shaw or Lisa Pope at BHPT on 01628 661441 or email info@bhpt.org.uk

And remember to keep a check on the website www.burnhamopportunitybox.org and watch BOB grow!
