BHPT currently organises and supports many activities including a range of exercise opportunities and a variety of community groups and services. See What’s On – BHPT’s Exercise Opportunities for current timetable of our local exercise opportunities and Information and Support for details of local sources of information, help and support.
Burnham is an active village with many sports clubs,
community groups and voluntary organisations. More information and contact details can be found in the Burnham Area Sports and Activities Directory , a very comprehensive guide produced by Think! Burnham, in partnership with BHPT and Burnham Community Association. An online version of the Directory is now available: Burnham Sports and Activities Directory.
Reference copies are available in key places in Burnham including the Health Centre, schools, churches and Burnham Village Information Point within the Library. Burnham Village Information Point also has details of forthcoming local events, places to visit and a wide variety of other useful information about local services and facilities.
Round and About
Burnham’s community magazine, Round and About , which is delivered free to local homes, is another good source of information about forthcoming events and activities.

Taking care of yourself
Remember before you start any new exercise regime, you should consult your doctor. Whilst there are many benefits from exercise, some forms of exercise can exacerbate certain medical problems so do seek advice about the best type of exercise for you. If at any point when exercising you feel dizzy or otherwise unwell, stop, and make sure you arrange to see your doctor as soon as possible.
