Yesterday we had the Singing for the Memory Christmas carol session. This was the usual time for the group but it was dedicated to Christmas Carols and a few more modern Christmas songs. It was thoroughly enjoyable, really heartwarming and great fun. It really makes you remember Christmases gone by. After the singing we had a bite to eat, some fizz and chatted.
Singing for the Memory is a group aimed at those experiencing memory loss or early onset dementia. The lady in the main picture is Sue Beach, our fabulous keyboard player / singer! Singing can help trigger memories of days gone by, even just coming to listen to the group singing can be great. We welcome new members each session and for more information please see the GROUPS pages.
Check out our nibbles table! Mince pies, cheese, fizz! Oh yes. We don’t do this every week, but come on down if you’d like to try it. It’s free and informal, the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at Burnham Library 11-12 Noon.
